In Castle Rock, we love our trees! As part of the Town’s commitment to being a Tree City USA, the POST Partners Volunteer Program hosts annual volunteer tree planting opportunities at neighborhood parks and area green belts. Volunteering is a great way to celebrate the many benefits trees bring to our community — from cleaner air and water to cooler streets and healthier neighborhoods.
With over 30 trees planted annually, participating in an Arbor Day tree planting is a great way for local businesses to plan a fun and meaningful team-building experience. Douglas County School District students generally have the Friday of Arbor Day off, so this is a perfect opportunity for them to earn community service hours before the end of the school year.
