Pick up the clue sheets at the Castle Rock Museum between May 1 and May 30. Go around town to complete the tasks on the sheet. Return the sheet to the Castle Rock Museum to receive a gift\, and you can be entered into a drawing to win season passes to the Summer Concert Series and much more. You have the whole month of May to complete the hunt. Bring your family\, friends\, co-workers or do it on your own. It’s a fun and easy way to learn some history and get to know Castle Rock better. The prize drawing will be May 30\, 2026\, at 3 p.m. at the Castle Rock Museum.

Built to bring water to the arid plains of Colorado in the late 19th century\, the canal has transformed from an irrigation system to a cherished recreational and cultural landmark. Through historic photos\, community stories\, and existing historic sites along the canal\, this evening will trace how the High Line Canal shaped local communities and continues to connect people across generations. \n\n\n\nStenz is a public historian who is passionate about using historic preservation and environmental history to foster community and connection. She earned her B.A. in History from Pepperdine University and M.A. in History from Colorado State University. Throughout her academic and professional work\, Rachel has focused on collaborative\, community-driven approaches to history. She believes in sharing authority\, listening to local voices\, and using tools like oral history and interdisciplinary work to tell meaningful stories. She is especially interested in how public spaces can preserve historical narratives and bring local communities together.
