SUMMARY:Highlands Ranch Star-Spangled Birthday Bash
DESCRIPTION:Highlands Ranch is reimagining its Independence Day celebration with the new Star-Spangled Banner Event at Highland Heritage Regional Park on Thursday\, July 2\, beginning at 6 p.m. \n\n\n\nThe Highlands Ranch Community Association\, Highlands Ranch Metro District\, and Douglas County are partnering to bring the community together for a safe and memorable holiday celebration. SUMMARY:Whiskey Road
DESCRIPTION:Whiskey Road was born from late-night jams\, shared stories\, and a group of musicians shaped by heartbreak\, hope\, and hard work. Since forming in 2015\, the band has focused on one goal: delivering high-energy country music that keeps audiences dancing all night. \n\n\n\nWith warm harmonies\, honest songwriting\, and guitar-driven outlaw country grit\, Whiskey Road blends the feel of Texas roadhouses with Nashville storytelling. Their sound is raw\, real\, and built on steel strings\, worn boots\, and songs earned the hard way. \n\n\n\nFrom small-town bars to major festival stages—including multiple appearances at the Taste of Colorado—the band has built a strong regional following through tight musicianship\, four-part vocals\, strong song selection\, and a touch of onstage humor. Every show is loud\, lived-in\, and authentic country music with soul and swagger.

This event is a low key\, pop up style event that is intentionally paired down. There will be no stage\, no vendors and no alcohol served in order to create a relaxing\, laid back vibe. Small town simplicity at its finest. \n\n\n\nWhile no food service will be available at Festival Park\, Jazz in the Park presents a great opportunity to try one of our many downtown restaurants and spend an evening exploring Downtown Castle Rock’s food scene. If you’re short on time\, grab dinner to-go and enjoy your meal in Festival Park! \n\n\n\nBlankets and lawn chairs are welcome\, but we ask guests to be courteous with their neighbor when setting up.

SUMMARY:Castlewood Dam Personalities
DESCRIPTION:Local historian Ron Claussen will return to continue to the story of the doomed Castlewood Dam\, this time focusing on the personalities behind its development. Constructed in 1889\, the Dam was meant to be a boon to local agriculture. But it’s flawed construction famously caused it to fail on August 3\, 1933\, flooding Cherry Creek through Parker and all the way to downtown Denver. \n\n\n\nDo you know the name of the construction company that built the Dam? Are you aware of who the hero was? What did he/she receive \n\n\n\nas an award? There have been a number of little facts that have been uncovered over the last 20+ years\, some only a year ago.
