Castle Rock Water
Castle Rock Water is the municipally owned water provider for the Town of Castle Rock. We provide three distinct services; drinking water, wastewater conveyance and stormwater mitigation. Having one utility provide for all water services creates consistency and reliability for service to customers with an integrated approach for efficiencies.
Drinking water services include securing an adequate water supply, purifying it to meet regulated drinking water standards, and safely distributing it throughout the Town
Wastewater is to the collection and transportation of used water from homes and businesses to the wastewater treatment plant (in which the Town holds partial ownership)
Stormwater management involves controlling the flow of rainwater and runoff across streets and properties to address flood prevention, erosion control and water quality
Castle Rock Water is an enterprise fund, meaning that it is run solely on the rates and fees paid for by our customers. It does not draw from the Town’s general fund or taxes. Castle Rock Water manages more than $770 million in infrastructure, including 6 treatment plants, 900 miles of water and sewer lines, and more than 28,000 accounts of which 93% are residential. (2025 data)
Castle Rock Water is a forward-thinking organization that conducts annual rates and fees studies to ensure funding with minimal impact to customers, along with long-term planning to ensure water sustainability and continued infrastructure stability.
