Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year in Douglas County. As the leaves begin to change and the crisp autumn air arrives, communities across the county come alive with festivals celebrating everything from pumpkins and Oktoberfest to local artisans, live music, and family fun.
Whether you’re looking for the perfect fall date, a fun outing with the kids, or a reason to get outside and enjoy the season, there’s no shortage of events to add to your calendar. Here’s your guide to the best fall festivals happening in and around Douglas County this year, including Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, and Sterling Ranch.
Castle Pines
Castle Pines Fall Festival
Oct. 23; 5 to 7 p.m. and Oct. 24; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Get ready for a full weekend of fall fun the whole family will love! Our two-day Fall Festival is packed with seasonal charm, community spirit, and activities for all ages.
Things kick off on Friday night with our Community Bonfire. It will be an evening filled with s’mores by the fire, live music, a beer garden for the adults, and a local food truck! It’s the perfect way for families to unwind together under the stars.
Then on Saturday, don’t miss our beloved Fall Fest, a day designed with families in mind. Kids can dress up and enjoy trick-or-treating through local businesses, bounce between crafts and games, and get your face painted. Families can hop on a hayride, grab a bite to eat, and soak in all the autumn excitement happening throughout the day. And you won’t want to miss the best part of the festival – the great pumpkin race!

Oktoberfest

​Join us for an unforgettable Oktoberfest celebration in Downtown Castle Rock! Enjoy live German music while indulging in delicious offerings from our food trucks. Kids can have a blast with free bounce houses, a rock wall, and inflatable games, while adults can sip on beer, wine, and cocktails. Don’t miss out on the vendor booths and cap off the night with a DJ dance party.

Join us for one of our favorite traditions – Harvest Day at CALF’s Lowell Ranch! This fun, family-friendly event brings the community together to celebrate the fall season and all things agriculture. Enjoy hands-on farm experiences, meet our animals, explore educational booths, and shop local produce and goods. There’s something for everyone!
Fall Festival featuring Creepy Crawlies Around the Rock
Oct. 18; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Festival Park
Stroll through dozens of vendors featuring food and craft products, hosted by the LOCAL Colorado, the organizer of the Festival Park Farmers Market. Enjoy locally created fall-themed treats and gifts, roasted chilies, fall produce and more. Families can participate in activity stations such as outdoor games, pumpkin decorating, fall crafts and a decorated photo booth. Plus, don’t miss a chance to purchase a locally-grown pumpkin. Local favorite food trucks and beverage vendors will also be on site.

Douglas County Open Space Fall Festival

Sandstone Ranch
Celebrate colorful Colorado at Douglas County’s annual Open Space Fall Festival, a free, family‑friendly event hosted at the beautiful Sandstone Ranch property. Join Open Space Rangers, wildfire experts and first responders for a memorable day exploring one of the County’s most treasured open spaces.
This all‑ages festival highlights the best of late-summer and fall with outdoor adventures, educational activities, food and fun. Whether you’re a long‑time trail user or new to County open spaces, this event is a great way to connect with nature, meet the people who help protect it and enjoy a day outside with friends and family.
Highlands Ranch
Oktoberfest Celebration
Sept. 26; 1 to 9 p.m.
Highlands Ranch Town Center
HRCA’s Oktoberfest Celebration kicks off at 9 a.m. with the festive Oktoberfest 5K, followed by an afternoon of lively music, delicious food, and plenty of Bavarian-inspired fun beginning at 1 p.m.
Enjoy a full lineup of entertainment on the main stage, stein-hoisting competitions, and other crowd favorites throughout the day. Savor classic German bites like bratwurst, pretzels, and schnitzel, and raise a glass to the season with a variety of German-style biers—both imported and locally brewed. Prost!

Autumn Arts & Crafts Fest

Lone Tree
Lone Tree Oktoberfest
Oct. 3; 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Schweiger Ranch
Enjoy live music at the historic Schweiger Ranch in Lone tree. Nosh on some food truck favorites that will pair well with a craft beer. Throw a game of bags, compete in the stein hoisting competition, or do a little polka. There is a little something for everyone to enjoy at this event!
Schweiger Ranch Fall Festival
Oct. 4; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Schweiger Ranch
This Fall Festival is unlike any other and is sure to have a little something for everyone! Enjoy a beautiful day on the ranch with the family picking pumpkins, roasting marshmallows and story telling, checking out Cheyenne Mountain ZOOMobile, crafting, taking a carriage ride, and learning the history behind Schweiger Ranch. Live bluegrass music, food trucks and vendors will also be onsite.

Parker
Parker Fall Fest
Sept. 26; 4 to 7:30 p.m.
O’Brien Park
Fall Fest 2026 dives into Parker’s entrepreneurial spirit — past and present. We’ll spotlight Parker’s early trade roots, evolving into today’s dynamic small business community. Expect interactive booths, a heritage artisan market and themed activities showcasing Parker’s makers, merchants and dreamers.
Sterling Ranch
Sterling Ranch Oktoberfest

Corn Maze ($)

Chatfield Farms
This year, Corn Maze honors the Centennial State’s 150th anniversary. Twists and turns cut into the maze create Colorado state symbols like the Rocky Mountain columbine and the bighorn sheep. Climb the bridge for a bird’s-eye view of the maze. Children under the age of 10 can explore the mini corn maze.
Pumpkin Festival ($)

Chatfield Farms
Enjoy a day of fall activities at Chatfield Farms! Admission includes Admission includes entry to the pumpkin patch and Corn Maze, entertainment and live music, bingo, antique tractor exhibit by Front Range Antique Power Association, wagon rides, barrel train rides, and photo booths.
Each child admission ticket includes access to carnival games, magic shows, inflatable slides and bounce houses, face painting and balloon characters, mini maze for kids 10 and younger, and tractor-pulled parking shuttles.
